Shopped or not?

In this week's Amateur Photographer one of the readers takes issue with the fact that in one of my pics I inserted a bird that wasn't there when the photo was taken.
To be honest, I did think carefully about whether to submit it with the bird in or not.
In the end though I thought it made for a much more compelling image. It made more sense.
Nobody's really fooled by Photoshop nowadays.
However everyone appreciates good pictures with emotional impact.
