Dhaka Boatmen

One of the best kept secrets of Street Photography : Dhaka in Bangladesh. Street markets, parks, train stations and of course the Buriganga river, the heart of the capital and the country. Its inhabitants use the river for getting around much as you and I would use public transport. Near to Sadarghat Ferry terminal, boatmen wait for fares to cross to the other side. It's not pretty but it's a vibrant, humming hive of activity nearly 24 hours a day.
